Default From the Backyard

Our backyard bird feeder is full of action these chilly days, but I rarely have time to watch all the antics. Here are a few samples from some recent spare moments...

First a shot of a very patient Tufted Titmouse, waiting for his turn at the sunflower seeds.

A White Throated Sparrow, soon to head on down to the ground below the feeder to check out the "leftovers" there. These sparrows are ground-feeders, so they never land up at the feeder itself.

This Nuthatch was too busy with tiny insects in the bark to find much of interest in the bird feeder.

But this Chipmunk sure was "stocking up" on fallen seed.

These under-the-feeder shots of squirrel and friends were taken through a double-paned glass patio door - surprising (to me) how good the results are after a little PP.

I am guessing you are using your new K5iis-great shots-how do you like it so far?
