I always like the color from the CCD sensor and that my *istDS never sufferers from FF or BF. It's a bit slow to focus even by Pentax standards, but still takes great photos and is always reliable. Nice shots! Tom

Good point Tom, all of my lenses focus accurately on the DS, can't claim that for all of my Pentax models.

The DS is the only camera I've ever regretted selling, even though it made no sense to keep it and it went to a great home. I still have my K100, and while I don't use it much any more, I can't sell it. The S1 is now my main camera and is likely to be so for the foreseeable future. I don't want to sell the K3, I keep hoping that I'll be able to manage it again. And besides, if I ever get tempted by the upcoming full-frame, I can always pull out the K3 and decide if getting one would be such a good idea or not.

The K3 with a tripod with one of the DA* zooms would make a great landscape camera, the K-S1 is then the hand held with the compact primes. I have focal lengths from 28mm to 300mm in full frame glass but I am not likely to go full frame camera unless I find that I can go semi-pro and earn enough to cover the cost.
