Default Boat Ride

We rented a pontoon boat and took a ride down the intercostal in the Englewood Fl. area. Love to shoot pelicans and got a few shots I like, also got this shot of a Dolphin surfing a boat wake, two or three dolphins were chasing this boat and all 3 were surfing the wake but when I would try to get a shot they were gone, only got this one

All shot from the boat while moving with my Pentax K30 and DAL 55-300

Beautiful photos, Hans. The iconic pelican on the post is perfect.

We live over in the Orlando area (and been here since the 1980s), but have never taken a boat trip in the intercoastal. You have inspired me to make some plans to do so. We have been to the J.N. Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge and Sanibel, but that was before the 2004 hurricanes.

I hope none of the dolphins got hurt. They seem so close. And your pelicans are fabulous.

No problems with hurt Dolphin noses. In talking with boaters around here if you slow down and create a large slow wake they will come and play
