Default I am back!!

...in the land of unlimited internet!!! Now that I have a new office, in our new home, in our new city, I can post here far more often.

My Pentax kit is now ...finally... at a state where I am truly happy with it. The Olympus m4/3 stuff will remain as my street/party/concert kit but the Pentax will be front and center.

I really have two kits now, the old *istDS pair (one has less that 7000 clicks on it) have the old FA 28-70mm f4 and Tamron 70-300mm f4-5.6 pretty much permanently attached as my rough-and-tumble, take it where cameras dare not go, kit. Then my "serious" kit consists of the K7 and K5 with all of my DA lenses (10-17mm, 16-45mm, 14mm), my FA primes (35mm f2, 50mm f1.4) and my Tamron 70-200mm f2.8. There is also an F 50mm f1.7 in the mix which could go in either kit.

Oh, and did I mention film? my two K1000s and my KX film camera are now ready to do service with some film my son gave me.

I guess I really am a bit of a fan boy but I prefer enthusiastic non-conformist.

Wow you are so well equipped with your arsenal indeed.
I guess nowadays getting film to develop is tricky. Do you need to mail it out ?

Good to see all that great gear going to good use! And congrats for surviving so many winters in harsh conditions, separated from your family, you deserve a break!

I'm not shooting right now, just had cataract surgery. I have other vision issues that are making the transition time more difficult than most people experience. It's mostly adjustment, the eye itself is doing great, but it's taken a lot of the fun out of it for now. Hope to be back taking pictures in another month or so.

Glad to hear from you, Ira (and Harriet and Daniel, as well! No offence, Hans. Ira, Harriet, Daniel and I are a pack since way back). We all seem to have our "issues" to confront, myself I hope being back sooner rather than later.
