Default September challenge - Favorite Things

I was tempted to post the topic as vacations, because I'm on vacation right now and a good number of people have probably been on vacation sometime in the last 90 days. I was one of the few who probably didn't mind writing about summer vacation when school started. But instead I decided to leave it wider open.

Your favorite thing might be a place, a scene or an object, large or small. It could be a room, a building or a person, large or small. An hour ago my favorite thing would have been a tall glass of ice water, I was that hot. Tomorrow morning it might be a cup of coffee. In the meantime, it's my new car.

This will be an easy one for me! We just got back from Italy visiting my daughter, son-in-law and newest grandson Parker. The hard part is deciding which image to post! I'll choose this one; Parker at two weeks. K-50, kit lens.

Well, it can't compete with a very handsome grandson, but this little shot combines two of my favorites - waterfalls and autumn leaves.

A reminder that it's getting toward the end of the month. I chose this topic so that I might be motivated to go outside and photograph the new favorite thing in my life, but I still haven't done it yet. Maybe tomorrow I'll finally stop long enough to do something about it.

Don't procrastinate like I am, get those cameras out and take some pictures!

Boats, one of my favorite things, mine is not in the image and I don't have any good shots of it because I am normally on it. Shot with my K30

Iím not sure that this is my favorite thing but it seems to be the only thing I have time to take pictures of lately. That is the things that are outside of an airplane window.

A camera is a machine of light and time with the purpose of capturing a luminous moment. Like the eye it is a tool of the mind.

This one looks good here, and it looked just as good on the Pentax Forum. Nice to have two places to post.

It's October already and I still haven't taken a picture of that new car in my driveway. While we didn't have that many entries, they are all top quality. Let the voting begin!
