Any more thoughts for those who have the K1? I'm curious what others think of it. Has anyone tried the Pixel Shift feature yet?

I've only been experimenting and learning to know the camera this far, haven't even had time to do any serious pp. But I have tried the Pixel Shift, and it looks promising. I took a 30 sec late evening exposure (30 s X 4) at iso 100 of my pile of wood fuel, and it looks very promising on the back lcd screen. Now I'm going away for a week, a big cultural event in Gothenburg, let's see what I bring home picturewise. Summer is around the corner, and with that summer leave! Fun and not work in front of the computer.

What, work getting in the way of your photography hobby? Always frustrating, isn't it?

I'm not only still working full time but I've also been maintaining 2 households, one closer to work than the house. This weekend I'm going to be bringing the second home back to the house, to spend the next 3 weekends madly unpacking it, cleaning it and then repacking it for a 2 month trip. At least a 16 and a half foot box is relatively quick to clean, though it is amazing how much stuff such a small place can accumulate in 4 months.

The Canadian price is more than twice that of a K3ii at $2499. Way out of my range unfortunately. I am hoping to pick up some commissioned work in photography and perhaps some substitute teaching next fall to increase my cash flow and then.... Who knows. I will probably get myself a good used K3 in the meantime.

I'm still waiting on my K-1. Of course I only ordered it a couple of days ago Maybe I'll have in by 4th of July.

Would love to see/hear any of your photos or impressions of the K-1.

Got a chance to handle a K-1 at a photography store in Fredericton NB, it was ordered by someone who thought it was too complicated and returned it. Honestly I was just testing the weather sealing, that was not a drool.

Lol! It really is a nicely balanced camera for one that is quite heavy. I like the way it just sits in my left palm, leaving the fingers to use a zoom ring or just hold the camera.

Going to my 49th high school reunion Saturday. I'll get to see how the K1 performs in a dark restaurant with my new Pentax Af540GFZII flash. I don't do portraits so well but we will see.

You guys are trying to tempt me I know you are. I just got a new Micro 4/3 camera and 2 zooms to go smaller for travel. I still love my K30 and plan on keeping it as well as my Q7 setup.

Now I have a real mess trying to keep track of 3 menu systems. Canon P&S for sailing, Panasonic for travel and Pentax for sports and wildlife.
