Default Why I have been amoung the missing

Sad to say but I have been cheating on Pentax and gone over to the dark side for some of my shooting. You know the old saying use the right tool for the job and in my case Pentax has not been the tool of my choice for travel, scenery, and sailing shots. Sailing requires me to shoot one handed and that requires a P&S with power zoom. It also requires a sacrificial camera that I could loose overboard. I am going to cheat and post a few shots because I miss all you guys and promise to shoot my Pentax more often.

Thanks for looking and hope to see more of your shots.

Nice shots, especially the second one. As you say, it's important to shoot with the appropriate tools - I sure would NOT want to risk a dSLR camera while being a crew member on a sailboat. Now if someone else was sailing it, I would!

It's always fun to catch up with old friends, and all of you are my friends.

Hans - You could get excellent photos with any camera! It's not the equipment, it's the eyes (& mind) behind the equipment.

I have an Olympus micro 4/3 kit, it travels with me on vacation and to some family events. The Pentax(es) are my go-to cameras for most everything else. It is fine to take excursions to the dark side, as long as you come back.
