Default Exercising the K7

The K7 with a battery grip but only an AA battery holder, now sits in a Lowepro Nova 3 bag with the two WR kit lenses as my face-the-elements kit. Here are some images from this weekend's boat trip.

Looks good to me, the K7 might not be the equal of some of the other Pentax cameras but it can do nice things in the right hands. Well done!

I may put the K7 back on the shelf for back-up duty and use the K5 for a while. Since I have the K3 it seems rather silly to use the oldest camera as a day-to-day choice. The big draw of the K5 is the improved overall performance, especially in dynamic range and high ISO quality. Thanks for the comments, the boat trip was a blast. BTW the row of fishing boats at the dock were prepared for lobster season which started the next day.

I always thought the step from the K7 to the K5 huge, while the step from the K5 to the K3 less so. The step between the K3 and K1 is large because they are different animals and have different strengths and weaknesses.

A good-old camera can still produce fine results with capable hands (and eyes) behind it!!
