Default Hummers are back

I loaded some K50 firmware to my K30 (from Pentax Forum member) so my K30 could use my new 55-300 PLM lens.

This little guy checking out feeder while I was sitting in the yard

All very cool! Your pictures are really, really nice!

How do you like the PLM lens? Is it optically about the same as the original 55-300? I don’t really understand it’s differences, been concentrating on figuring out a new tow vehicle (Ford F150) and the KP, which I really like. What’s your take on it?

These are great. I just saw our first hummers last week and hope to get some shots soon. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks folks for the kind words

I like the lens, it's weather sealed, and shorter than the old lens when not in use. Seems a little sharper, much faster focus, and quiet. just for reference the shots above are about a 50% crop
