Default K-1 and 31mm Ltd various scenes

Hi everyone, a few more from the K-1 and 31mm Ltd.

Attended a bbq get together with the Japanese sword arts school I used to practice at. Used the opportunity to see what the k-1 could do. Dialled in a shutter speed of 1/1000s to freeze the action, closed the aperture to f2.8 for improved sharpness and iso2000. The 31mm is slightly too wide for this, one would like to keep a sensible distance. Fortunately the k-1 offers a lot of pixel real-estate to crop away. Couldíve used the crop mode of course. Took a stroll in the park as well and enjoyed recording some more.

The Samyang 135mm f2 all manual lens would be a great addition to the FA collection. Itís affordable, promises good optical quality and itís a versatile focal length for certain action I shoot. The focus peaking function seems precise enough to use with this lens. Just too bad thereís no communication with the body at all so I guess it wonít work with the astro-tracer. Itís a bold move to marry an all manual lens with a non sports-oriented body. But the action I shoot is usually quite predictable.

Your photographer got offered to cut some and the skill is still present.

Made good use of the tilt screen and focus peaking to get as close as possible.

Loving that dof

Doing the pan. 1/10s Heavy cropped. I sometimes do this with commercial aviation. A 135mm as affordable alternative to the 70-200mm 2.8 would do great.

1/15s More panning. more lba..
