What is the green spot in the tree in my photo? There is nothing in or behind the tree to account for it? I took several photos and the spot appears every time. These were taken on a tripod with fairly long exposure (2 seconds?) Is this a problem with the sensor on my *ist DS?

It looks very much like a hot pixel to me. I may be incorrect, but based on my experience, it looks very much like a hot pixel. What does everyone else think?

A hot pixel would be smaller and i doubt it would be that shape and so noticeable

It's either a lens flare (most likely), something artificial hanging in the tree that's small and reflective, or a UFO.

My vote is really for the UFO.

Lens flare? In the dark? I thought "lens flare" was caused by the sun?

I vote for the UFO too.
