How does the *ist DS perform for long time exposures? Steve has this 30 s exposure shot in the review and that doesn't look too bad at all.

How about real long time exposures. The B for bulb setting I mean?

Could I just open the shutter and leave it there for some time in the dark? I used to take shots of cars driving along misty country roads on autumn evenings. There you had to sometimes wait a few minutes for enough cars to come by, though... ;-)

How would I technically lock the shutter? Can I lock it using a wireless or wire remote?

Has anybody got any insights to share?

Cheers,
Joerg
