Looking up into the rotunda at the Iowa State capitol. I was pleased to see how well the shadows kept detail without blowing out the brighter areas.

There is no wood in that picture. everything is carved stone. I was just learning to use the camera, and the lighting isn't quite as good as I'd like. But I still like it.

The remarkable thing is, my former favorite cameras were a Contax IIa, a Nikon F, and a Pentax Spotmatic F.

I hated electronic 35mm cameras, but I would be completely happy if I never used anything but my Pentax *istDS from here on out.
