I agree with Ken Rockwell (see http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/mpmyth.htm) that for real photography there's no effective difference between 6 and 8 megapixels. I'm very pleased with my DS2. Besides, with a larger sensor than the Olympus, the overall image quality (color, noise, etc.) may be better on the Pentax. Choose whichever meets your needs best, but 6 vs. 8 MP is probably not a deciding factor.

i think i have this lens

i bought it second hand a few weeks back

it is a 80 - 320 Pentax 4.5 5.6 with autofocus auto apperture

i have been testing it out

some of my shots are here

for the birds i set it asa 800 @1/600th and apperture on auto

and no tripod

i liked using it it seems to work well

i am continuing my experimenting though
