The use of the Cypress 9mp chip and the recent review of the Samsung Pro 815 at www.dpreview.com which also uses a Schneider lens make this very interesting indeed.

And: the more k-mount-bodies are sold, the more manufactorers will produce k-mount-lenses ....

...and now its here. Seems to be a rebadged DS2 (6 mp, not 9 as some has guessed)

There will be two Samsungs.

Samsung bought the DS2 and the DL from Pentax and labelled them

GX-1S = DS2

GX-1L = DL

It seems like whilePentax DS2 only will be available in Asia, the Samsung 1S will be sold in Europe. Hopefully this wil be a one-time only!

Even though I velcome the Pentax-Samsung cooperation, I hope it will lead to both companies developing and marketing better, but different K-mount DSLR's - not just splitting the worldmarket between them, selling basically identical models :sad:

BTW Alfred: phototalk24.de looks like something that can evolve into a nice meetingplace. I see afamiliar name on the frontpage :-)
