Don't get too excited guys, it is probably just a poor translation. Olympus however does have a live view LCD in the new Evolt E-330, now I know why they went with the sideways mirror in the E-300, just one step closer to their new technology.

I think Pentax needs to be careful about bringing out too many models which are essentially the same, however I would be interested in how wellthe new autofocus works. I hear lots of complaints about how slow the DS, DL, DS2 autofocus is (I am accustomed to the old Minolta Maxxum 7000 so I think they are blisteringly fast, we all have our own frames of reference don't we?)

I am quite happy with my DL, no upgrades for me until there are real improvements, and I can afford them (3 year minimum). And honestly, I am not impressed by the new esthetic features, let black be black and silver be silver. My DL is silver, my friends DS is black, both look good, but this mix-and-match style does nothing for me.

Pentax Japan has announced a new *ist DL2 SLR but it won't be available in the U.S. market according to our sources at Pentax USA.

Digital Photography Review is writing that the DL2 will be available in Asia and Canada. Plus...."Looking at the spec the DL2 appears to be the Pentax version of the Samsung GX-1S, announced earlier this month, and may be an indication of the intention to sell the future cameras as Pentax branded in some markets and Samsung cameras in others (namely Europe and the US)."

So, perhaps this means the US will see no more Pentaxes!

Glad I live in Canada!
