Heya, I'm grabbing a DS2 as soon as I get the scratch, but B&H and others seem to only sell the body. I would like to just get the stock 18-55 lens but wasn't sure how or where...

Cheers

PS keep in mind I haven't actually looked for just an 18-55 lens ><

I bought my DS2 a couple of months ago from B&H on-line -- great service, quick delivery, no problems -- and I bought the SMCP-DA 18-55mm from them at the same time. They sell the lens separately from the DS2 (as opposed to the DL, sold as a kit with the lens). Just search the B&H site for Pentax 18-55. Right now it shows in stock, for $109.95. I think it's quite a good lens for the price, and complements my old manual M-series lenses nicely.

Enjoy your new camera when you get it, and show us some pictures!

Some outlets are selling the kit at $599 or $699 but that is the DL though.
I had that and sold off the kit lens at around $100. But that is me as I have some lens covering the same range. The fellow that got my da kit via ebay has DS as well. Also there are sigma and tamron zoom covering more or less the same range. You have no lack of choice.

Look on ebay. There are often kit lenses on there. I saw one just this evening.

Looks like it is brand new.
