Here is a picture I took yesterday with the D and Vivitar 120-600mm lens and Vivitar 2x Macro Focusing Converter. I didn't want to start a new thread, so I am bumping this one back up.

Thanks. I have a very sturdy Tripod and I used the 2sec self timer and a cable release. It is about 50% re-sized in PSP and I applied some sharpening also.

I use AMVONA AT 858 B (ebay) legs and a Bogen 3030 3-way head.

i'll second the 858 amvona. it's built like a tank. got my set of legs for about 32usd delivered on ebay. not the first one i bid on. just keep trying and eventually you'll get it low. it's a manfrotto knock-off.. try the 828 also

That is why I like Pentax forum the best :} You guys post a lot of pictures instead of endless discussions about expensive gear :} Great shots, great thread! :}

hey, i got a 2 ball heads on ebay for 23usd and the small one for 13usd. saw them recently in a camera shop for 69 and 49. i'm not pleased with the larger that i use on the tripod because of lens drop but it's still a good head. the smaller one i use on a monopod. works great.. i'll be hunting a pan/tilt soon.. do you need a ballhead for $28usd??? lol
