It will work without any adapters.

But remember: that's the old lens, not the actual one!

The new one, for digi-cams, is called"AF28-300MM F/3.5-6.3 XR Di"

They also have the sigma version which seems to get more favourable reviews. I wouldnt be that fussed about "digital" lenses, I have a 28-300mm sigma regular lens as well as a 70-300 DG APO and I cant see any difference. I have bought off them and would recommend them.

if you have the kit lens then i'd go for the 70-300. it's asking a lot from the glass to do the 28-300 range.

The "old one" is the non digital version. A DG lens is a lens that hashad coatings applied specifically to deal with digital cameras. A DC lens is a lens that has had the same coatings and also has a smaller lens opening diameterto comply with the smaller size of the digital sensor which is smaller than a 35mm SLR and therefore cant be used on a 35mm camera. Do they really do anything is another matter. http://www.sigmaphoto.com/lenses/len...mp;navigator=2

I have had various digital and non digital lenses and I havent seen any difference. I sent two photographs to someone recently, one was done with a non digital 28-300 apherical, and the other with a 70-300 APO digital, and they picked the non digital as the sharpest. There is not really a great deal of differencein pricebetween digital and non digital, sometimes they are the same but there is a big difference between the lenses at camita and what you would have to pay for a digital lens. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...ughType=search

http://www.sigma4less.com/sess/utn;j...amp;Submit.y=5If i had to choose between a digital and non digital paying regular prices I would pay the extra just to be sure, but when its a hundred dollars I dont have to spend, then I may go for the non digital.
