I have a DL, excellent camera, it loses some features found in the DS2. It has a simpler AF system, a penta-mirror instead of a better pentaprism and a reduced buffer size. Since I rarely use burst mode, and I always turn off all focus points except the centre, I find little real difference between the two. If you feel the need for a more professional camera the DS2 is your choice, but the DL is quite close.

I cannot stand dust inside viewfinder so I always buy cameas with removable focus screen. DS/DS2 can do that, DL/DL2 can't.
