Okay, so Ds gets the lovest score off all in "Control" and anegative remark about"Minimalist control capability".

The Nikon D50 - which I know from practice - has a better score. For what: lack of depth of field preview? Lack of mirror lock up? Or just for being a bigger brand with a bigger marketing budget - and therefore more wellknown to personswho's mayor knowledge about photograhy comes from spec sheets andpress releases?

Reminds me why I've stopped reading this kind of tests....

I can't believe that the *ist DS2's image quality is that bad. I bet the Popphoto must use the kit lens plus the in-camera jpeg which IMHO is the weakest part of the Pentax DS gene DSLRs. With that combination in test, I have seen from almost all local magazine of mine who carried out similar shootout test that the *ist DS and DL scored last in the game.

In addition, color accuarcy will decrease if they used the default "Bright" color tone, too.

If I have the time, I shall go to my local library to read their test article and see how they carried out the tests, exactly. (I cannot get access to any Popphoto magazine except at the library)

The all-time stupidest review I ever read was in Consumer Reports for the Panasonic wet-dry men's shaver, which can be used in the shower.

Their biggest complaint was that when it was being recharged --- which of course required it be plugged into the electric wall socket --- it couldn't be turned on to shave.

I've even seen the same dumbo comments on epinions....

I have one of the Pana wet-dry series shavers with magetic contactless charger. I found my shaver to be perfect, except it's not quite durable.

Regarding Epinions review, one should also look at the review rating by the Epinions community, too, here is mine on the *ist DS:-

Geeze, I have got the highest "Very Helpful" rating :-)

Hi Ricehigh;

I also have that shaver and have used Panasonics for years....

That was what annoyed me so much about the wet-dry review....

I guess I see their point now. They want to have their shaver works even *during* charging. I think some models of Braun can have this feature! But then, how often one need to do both at the same time, i.e. charging and shaving?

in the shower...

By the way, be careful not to drink the ink for your printer. It may be harmful. (I've seen a warning sticker about this)
