As I understand it the Pentax Photolab Software that came with my *istDL is designed to be used t process RAW images. However, I noticed that it is lacking in a key feature, i.e.the ability to straigten an image that is horiontally misaligned. Often time when I take pictures, I my horizons are not perfectly horizontal and require some degree of rotation. The Photolab software only seems to rotate images in 90 degree blocks.

Does anyone know if the Photolab software has this capbility? It seems odd that for software that is desgined for RAW image processing, this would be a important feature.

No PPL v2 doesn't enable this feature BUT in AUTO mode, it produces JPEGs at high quality that are superior without any hastle.

Personally, I downgraded from PPL v2-1 as the I cannot get it produce images to the same quality as PPL v2.

I use PPL v2 to produce a high quality JPEG image, then Photoshop CS2 to tweak the image to straighten out verticals, horizons & image enhancements.

Thanks for the input. I had not considered a two step process, i.e. first use PPL and then an alternate program to straighten the image...thanks for the suggestion.
