Since we have some new members here I thought I would bump this back up and see if it gets any attention.

My changes since last time are few:

A 70-210mm f4 SMC Pentax-A MF lens (from Roy)
My Takumar 2X teleconverter is now a 26mm extension tube
A Sekonic L-308 Flashmate light meter

I have updated the opening post of this thread with my new equipment list.

Ira

BTW I did not mention memory cards (as some of you have), I have four 256MB SD cards (a Lexar and three no names) that I mostly use for moving files around and taking them to WalMart for printing (still cheaper than printing at home). My camera and memory card wallet hold three 1Gig Lexar PlatinumSD cards (40X speed I believe) and a 512 Lexar. I see no need to update that anytime soon.

I am also over my bout of LBA and I am now concentrating on getting a decent heavy duty tripod (such as a Manfrotto) and at least one backdrop for portraits.

hakeem, looks like you have all of the basics covered anyway, and that FA 50mm is a real jewel.

Wow, pretty impressive lists here. I'm afraid mine is a little less impressive:lol: I'm happy with it nonetheless.
I'm not really a one-brand man, more of an oppurtunist.

Cameras:

Nikon EM (analogue) - A used one I got from my grandpa. Don't use it much, but it has emotional value.

Panasonic FZ-3 - A neat little digicam. More than an accessory to an ipod. I love it, only lacks 2 things: a few more megapixels and manual focus. Other than that, the first cam I bought myself and my first "real photography" experience.

Pentax *ist DL - My new love had her for 3 months now and couldn't be happier.

Lenses:

For the Nikon:
-- an E-series 1.8 50mm. - Nice & sharp little lens.

-- a Tokina RMC 80-200mm f4. - One touch zoom, it's ok...

For the Pentax:

-- DA 18-55mm f3.-5.6 - Kit lens we all know

-- Tokina SZ-X 210 N 70-210mm f4-5.6 - Nice & compact zoom, gives good enough results for me.

-- Set of macro extension rings, same as roy's.

Wishlist:

-Pentax-A f1.4 (or 1.7) 50mm for use with the macro rings & portraits.

-Tokina AT-X Pro f2.8 28-70mm - ahhh...in the near future...bound to be a trusty concert & allround lens.

-Sigma EX DG 100mm macro - nuff said...

i got a bunch of stuff. it's always in alter mode tho. i get stuff off of ebay for next to nothing occasionally i'll ck it out, clean it up and then resell it. i've a good used cam store here that buys most of it or i'll sell it to someone like ira who got an excellent 70=210 from me. ira! have seen a couple of those go for over 200usd recently. most of my stuff is always in a flux.. i've got a lens here right now that the focus and zoom is out on and i guess i'll have to eat the 8.50 i gave for it because i've only been able to free it up about half way.. got another tho for 8.50 and it seems to be a fairly good medium zoom off name..

Roy-

You are my kind of shopper. I always love picking up a bargain at ebay.

With just what I have left here you are covering from 18mm to 320mm, that has me beat (my 500mm mirror lens is not really a practical lens, too dark with really strange out of focus "donuts" and no aperture control).

Great selection of graduated filters, these come in really handy for landscapes. I have a grad sunset but really want the grad grey ND filters like those that you have.
