Allright here we go again
new ones in red
Nikon EM (film)
Pentax *ist DL
For the Nikon:
-- E-series 1.8 50mm. - Nice & sharp little lens.
-- E-series 100mm f2.8
-- a Tokina RMC 80-200mm f4. - One touch zoom, it's ok...
For the Pentax: (in order of preference)
-- Pentax SMC-A 50mm f1.7 - my favourite lens...so sharp and fast... MF
-- Kiron 105mm f2.8 macro - Legendary lens, razorsharp and even fast enough to use at concerts. (yes, I use a macro lens at concerts...) MF
-- Jupiter-9 85mm f2 - famous M42 Russian portrait lens. Soft at f2, razor sharp at f2.8 and b e a utiful bokeh, thanks to the 15 aperture blades. MF
-- Tamron SP 60-300mm f3.8-5.6 - affordable adaptall telelens. Surprisingly sharp at 300mm, although the prime SP 300mm 5.6 is a little better, but less convenient. MF
-- DA 18-55mm f3.-5.6 - Kit lens we all know AF
-- Tamron 28-200mm f3.8-5.6 XR (not the Di version) - My travel zoom, performs well enough for it's purpose. AF
-- Pentacon 200mm f4 - an M42 lens, surprisingly good quality. Sharp and almost no CA. A little unhandy because of the FOV on a crop sensor and the fact that it doesn't cover the AF contacts. MF
-- Cosinon 35mm f2.8 - M42, not very sharp, I like the FOV, but rarely use it because of the lower optical quality... MF
-- Vivitar 400mm f5.6 - long lens I picked up for next to nothing. Terrible CA problems, Doesn't get much use now that I have the 60-300mm
-- 2 set of macro extension rings, 1 K mount, 1 M42, fully manual
-- Soligor M42 2x teleconverter - horrible quality, never use it.
I throw all that in a Crumpler Shrinkle backpack, very pleased with it. For one-lens stuff I use a Lowepro Topload Zoom II.
+ A small crappy SLIK tripod and a cheap ebay monopod.
- K10D + grip
- a PTTL compatible flash.
- DA* 50-135mm f2.8 to have a wheatherproof concert-combo
- a Sigma, Tokina or Tamron f2.8 zoom with more wide-angle...either a 24-75mm or a 18-50mm, I don't know yet.
my MF lenses without the 85mm and 60-300mm:

rhermans, that 100-300mm Sigma looks like just the thing I would like, my FA Pentax is too slow at f4.7-5.8.
I hope no-one is offended by this thread, it is only there for those of us who want to share. For nearly 20 years I owned just an ME Super, a K1000, a 70-150mm f3.8 Vivitar, a 28mm f2.8 Rikenon XR, the 50mm f1.7 M and a cheap tlelconverter. Add a Vivitar 285 flash with remote sensor cord and bracket, stick it in a cheap Optex bag and add a department store tripod and that was it. In the late 1990s I purchased a used Minolta Maxxum 5000 and then discovered ebay. Over the next few years I bought, sold and traded lots of equipment to get to what I now own.
I am not bragging about all that I own as much as being amazed that I had managed to do it.
