I have a 400mm prime. It has no adaptor.

The pipe is 51mm, and I need either a pentax bayonet or a thread mount.

Anyone sell anything like this???

My other option is to use a thread mount off a different lens, and machine a spacer in between.

What brand is the lens? Sounds like it could be a Tamron Adaptal or Adaptal II mount. These adapters should be readily available if this is the case.

Thanks! I'll look!

Looks like, from what's on Google, that adaptal is dif. Mines a simple pipe.

It's a Tele-Lentar:

Thanks, but I have a rear off like a $20 lens, all it would need is an Aluminum spacer; just didn't want toadd another project.

Thanks for the offer!!!

Well, I knew it was missing when I bought it. After I make the mount, I'll see if the lens was worth it or not.

It has like a billion aperture blades, so I'm guessing this is a sign of some quality.

Here's what I'm getting. Really unsharp (PS ~90% sharpening), makes branches in front of object Green, behind Red. This pigeon had a green bump above the white area on his beak ...

Don't think it was a quick, cheap way to a bird lens. So much for $9 and2hours in the machine shop.
