I was using shades bafore and now I switched to default and I don't think I like it, especially the way the images show up.

Well, I didn't realise it could be changed until now, been struggling with the white on black since I first joined, just changed it now, oh that's so much better! lol!

I didn't care for the white and green, so I've been using the blue. It took some getting used to but I like it now. As a general rule I think that photos show better with the black background, but now that I'm used to the blue, I don't find it makes much difference. And the blue is pretty, neutral and definitely easier on my eyes.

The funny thing is that the last 2 days at work I've been doing something in AutoCAD. That has a black background with bright lines, and I find I need to take breaks more often(like I amright now)or is that because it's work and I'm concentrating on it so much, and I don't use the program very often so it's more of a struggle for me?
