trying my lens out for bird photography but sence i only had a 55-200mm sigma DC lens. i can not get close enough. here is the best pic i got.

it looks close enough to me. nice capture. have you considered cropping it? also, what software do you have??

try to look at it cropped but did not look so good to me . i have adobe photoshop elements 4.0. i did use a smart fix on this one sence it as only under expose a little.i crop the picture and this what it looks like.

Andre_L,

Your cropped version looks fine here on the Web. I've used that trick myself for web posting, to simulate a longer focal length lens...it might not look good if I print such a photo, but it can look fine in a web browser!

andre,

try shooting in raw. PSE4 will allow you to modify the exposure up to 2 stops either way. actually it's more than that but i've found noise levels get high after 2 stops..

i like the crop a lot better..

You should try bumping up the mid tone contrast a bit on the crop version to keep if from looking so flat.

you need to get rid of the blue overcast. it just doesn't look right. then again, that may be how you like it.
