In the pot i planted a Clivia. This one planted itself. I don't think it is a Swedish wild species. Anyone have an idea? Size about 30 mm/>1 inch. SMC-M 100 mm macro, f 11, 1/4 sec.

No idea what it might be, but it's a neat photo!

Kjell,

I have no idea, but this page may have the answer for those with too much time on their hands.

I also don't speak German, but there are photos of many mushrooms on that page and if you had the time, yours may be there.

This link works better and the mushroom names are their scientific name so the language doesn't make any difference.

Didn't want to start another topic, but this growth doesn't seem quite natural:-)
The old 28-80mm FA lived up to it's less than stellar reputation with some rather nasty looking flare.

GMO? Where did you find this and what is it? Pure artistic joy, war memorial or a mine worker? And where is the sun (flare)?

Kjell

The City of Corner Brook, Newfoundland apparently had a number of mature trees that needed to be removed. Someone came up with the idea of having artists carve sculptures from them instead of removing the entire tree. This one represents a logger taking a rest (Corner Brook is a paper mill town). Shot through an opencar window during the recent 56th annual Provincial Drama Festival (my wife received best director honours and our troupe received the best play award - strictly amateur, I teach and she works as a development officer for the Town of Gander, sorry had to get that plug in)

The lens flare "blob" can be seen just to the right of the figure.

Isee the flare, but I don't see any shadow that tells where the sun is positioned.

Congrats to the award, I teach theater students (but I don't teach acting, I teach social science and history).
