BE, again thanks for sharing your interesting experiment results and your time for doing the experiment. It is a valuable reference afterall.

It can be seen that the difference under daylight is less pronounced than when flash light is used. But yet, the difference of the "picture styles" can be seen.

It also seems that the numerous "scene modes" of the Pentax DL2 are more powerful and vesatile than Canon's "picture styles", which however can also be downloaded from the Canon's website. However, the latter has clearly been able to market the stuff in a more successful way as the meaning of "picture styles" is more clear cut or at least more impressive and can possibly arouse more interests from the public.

Well, here comes good marketing or bad marketing afterall. Back to why I have said the Pentax "scene modes" are more powerful and versatile, just because it changes also exposure level and WB, just that Pentax don't show and let you know what has been changed or set, but Canon does, which can be checked in the camera and thus no guess work is required. Again, here comes the differentiator in good marketing and inferior one.
