These are at full zoom (new Pentax 50-200) with the 1.4AF converter. The two goose shots are cropped, the Mallards is not.

Great shots.

Any possibility that you can take a couple more pict at say 100 &150mm to see if improvement can be made? It is really demanding for a consumer zoom to be stretched out with a TC. You may be breaching the extreme limit of the lens. The Kenko 2X I got specifies prime at or better than 2.8.

i too haven't had any good luck with a zoom + TC. i'd like a pentax 1.4x but they are like gold on ebay. try it with a prime and lets see the diff.
