And why would you apologise for posting lovely photos of one of the most beautiful places in the world? I love Banff and all of the Canadian Rockies (spent a week near Kootenay over 10 years ago and LOVED it!).

I worked with a guy who was a receptionist at that hotel when he was down here in Sydney. He said it was the best and the worst job he's ever had!

I got there once, a day trip from Calgary, it was heavy overcast and rain. I saw the hotel and the base of the Rockies. A real let down for a guy from Newfoundland on his first trip to the Rockies. Well maybe someday....

Very nice shots Dr C. Your Sigma is performing very well. I plan on using this same lens a lot next month when I take a golf trip to the Kooteneys. I'd like to make it to Banff too, but I don't think it's going to happen. Lovely place............Don.
