yesterday i set up with these 2 lenses and did exposures at all 7 f-stops to compare sharpness. i also did a test with a tokina rmc 2x converter. to my horror the 70-210 is clearly the sharper of the two with out the converter. the M200 is sharper with the converter. i've uploaded these to our site if you want to d/l them. they were too big to place anywhere else. the files with ''2x'' in the name are about 1.7meg , the other 2 are around 900k.. these are straight crops from the original images, taken at jpg, 6***. no PP done. url's are.

Congratulations Roy! This means that you'll have to bring both lenses and the converter when you're out and about. Think of all the healthy exercise!

Seriously, tell us when you have decided how to handle this situation.

see the green abberations on the m200 pics? thats what i get on mine. Same with the red abberation on the wide open 70-210, my m200 also does that. Not so bad as you stop it down though

i'll have to think about it. the 80-200 will be here tomorrow.. it could get interesting..
