I've done a little research on the web, and I'm pretty sure it is a Nutria, Myocastor coypus.

Did you shoot the picture in the Zoologiske Have i KĂžbenhavn, Lars? They have that species, and noting else like it. But they state the English name as Coypu.

I've been searching the web a bit too for pictures of nutrias. And I agree that it looks like one. But then again: its very light in colour compared to those pictures of Nutrias I've found. I have to admit that my knowledge about these animals is very limited - almost non existent, in fact - so I can't say anything for shure...

The shot was taken in a small zoo in the western part of DEnmark, called Jylland Parkzoo. I've searched their website, but can't find any information about this particular animal. Now I've send them an e-mail with the photo, asking for the name. If they answer, I will of course post it here.

Yours

Lars
