This morning I bought a Tamron 500m F/8 at a gargae sale. It has a Minolta Maxxum adapter on it now. I thought it would be a T-mount but apparently Tamron used their own design. My limited research on it to this point indicates I need a Adaptall adapter to a Penax screw mount and then another adapte to the bayonet mount.
Is this true? has anyone used this lens?
Thanks

This lens should work fine acting as an M lens, but don't go with the double adapters - get an Adaptall to Pentax K/KA adapter.

I'm using a Tamron 17mm SP Adaptall Lens on my *ist D with no problems.

right, using 2 adapters you would run a good chance of losing infinity focus.

I am an idiot. What I thaought was a lens element in the shade was a 82mm circular polarizer somehow stuck in there.
Next time I will look harder.
Thanks
