not the glass for sure.. i just discovered a way to bring out the new in my older lenses.. get a jewelers cloth.. i had one around and it even brought out the sheen on the rubber focusing ring. lenses look brand new. the cloth hasa very very fine abrasive in it so don't use on the glass..

guys and gals.
you really ought to try this. after doing some research i've found that these jewelry cloths are just fine to use on your lenses also.

All looking brand new, but will it work as well on the later plastic barrelled lenses?

Hi Robar, is this cloth the same as this one?

You mentioned it shouldn't be used on the glass?

A M,
that's the one and as i said above, they are great for your optics as well. they contain no abrasives.. i was using it on filters last night... mine is 14''x14''. 5x5 may be harder to use..
