The 50mm 1.7 is a very nice lens and you will be happy with the images from it.

Yes, I have noticed what you have listed . . . and, if I could, I would . . . but, for right now, waiting for the right moment is the wiser course.

Perhaps it is dangerous to ask as it may inspire buying, but what is LBA?Don't think I've seen this acronymbefore.

Mike, LBA is lens buying addiction, a condition usually afflicting one member of the household, and not understood or accepted by the other member of the household. It leads the former to secretive or "accidental" purchases and causes the latterto emit cries of anger nearing the level of outrage.

When you get it (and you will), one helpful method for calmly announcing your latest acquisition is to never include the cost of shipping. However, this usually works only a few times, so be careful when you use this method of disclosure.

Wishing you every success,

Lawrence

oh and lawrence
you will enjoy the 50MM.
drill a hole in a twist on body cap and glue a ring on it and you can mount it backwards on the cam. makes a DYNAMITE macro..

I have found that if you can quickly unload a less expensive lens of the same size and color the new lens will be accepted into the family without a fuss. That assumes you have a lens you are willing to part with, instead of keeping them all, which is a side effect of LBA.

that's the problem. i've got the A70-210 and it's heavy and has a macro feature.
the M80-200 is a lot lighter but no macro
the M200 is lightest of all 3 but doesn't zoom
i can instances where i'd rather carry one and not the other.. ahh, decisions, decisions.....
