thanks Roy.

The shots were actually tricky since the feeder likes to sway back and forth. So I had to focus manually -- first time in 20 years I've done that other than with my telescope. I'm hoping for some shots of the yellow finches we have often.

I also got fooled by my Pentax remote. the pickup is in FRONT of the camera! Big help that is. I wanted to sit back on the deck behind the camera.

it's REAL EASY to build a hardwired remote with a 2.5mm stereo plug.. real easy and you can make it as long as you want..

I think I saw the details in another thread? Can you post how to do it?

That would be great.

Thanks, Rich

A friend of mine built me a Minolta Maxxum remote from instructions ha found on the internet, I would be very pleased if I could get the instructions for a Pentax remote.
