Here is one of my favourites, it is in colour but you can only see it in a large print. The dark corners are not examples of vignetting, that is my back yard given the DOF of a 300mm lens, at minimum focus distance ofabout a metre, at f5.8while thebackground of the image is over 15m away. Note, the inverted image of the backyard in the droples, is almost in focus.

Pentax SMC FA 100-300mm f4.7-5.8 at 300mm hand held, (no coffee that day):-)

Anzac Day (25/04/2006) Perth Western Australia

Takumar 300/F4, 1/320 sec, ISO 400 shot on monopod

I love it because it is typically Australian, Akubra hat, Dryazabone rain coat. He was just standing there on the footpath watching the veterans and soldiers form up for the march and was totally unaware of the people around him, totally focused on the veterans.

This is my favourite!

Ooops... did it have to be one you shot yourself? Then I haven't got that one (yet). Just give me the summer...

It was meant to be commendatory. It is my favorite picture amongst those I've seen on this forum, including my own.
