Thought I'd try my luck at resizing a photo to post to this forum, as I'm still getting used to the novelty of raw images. Taken with a dl2 and standard 18 - 55 lens. Set for shutter priority so exposure could probably have been better, however all these auto functions take some getting used to after an mx!

For those who are interested this is a Norman churh in Guestling, East Sussex. Please feel free to criticise, how else do we learn.

i think you could have done better with the BW conversion. it's a nice shot but to me it doesn't pop. maybe a curves adj and a little more contrast.. what's it look like in color?

Fair point, of course now comes the fun of trying to work out how to successfully manipulate said images once they are on the computer, however just for the sake of comparison attached is same shot in colour.

Can I try, converted from your colour image, adjusted levels before and after converting to monochrome, sharpened to make up for the softening caused by the resizing.

I erased the image from my computer as soon as I posted.

Ira

You made a much better job of it than I did, but at least it gives me something to aim for. Thanks
