Has anyone ever heard what "*ist" stands for??? And why an *??? I assume that the "d" in the "ds" & "dl" stands for digital... does the "s" stand for super & the "l" stand for luxury???

Enquiring minds would like to know:G

the Pentax rep told me the *ist stands for hobbyist, perfectionist, etc.* You replace the * with a word and add the 'ist'.**

K for Pentax K mount lenses and D for digital, the 100 and 110 is the model designation.
