WOW eh, thanks dan.. sorry about the eyesight. i'm 53 and just started wearing bifocals this year. the rig is heavy but i really think it helps as to the shakes.

thanks again,
roy
Sounds like the Pentax is very popular with the 50+ club!! Add me to the oldtimers list, 50 with bifocals. It does make manual focus a challenge.

Even if I'm a junior (48)

something strange going on here, i write fortyeight but it keeps changing to this happy fellow

my arms have recently become too short for reading. So I'm also getting used to wearing glasses, and that certainly doesn't help when focussing.

I can understand why the Pentax is popular with the over 50 crowd. We all bought ME cameras when they were new and invested in other lenses. We love the old glass and hate to get rid of them for a different camera system. At least, that's the way it worked for me...

Hmmm, is this thread being read by the over 50s and just under then! Does that make me young at 53 and remember buying (and still have) my Spotomatic and the ME.

Thanks for sharing the new shots Roy - don't often see those type of insects around here, perhaps I'm not looking in the right places.

JC, 'looking' has nothing to do with it. 'seeing' is what it's all about..
