Plan A go to beach and take some surfing shots, drive to beach, forget M42 adapter, curse loudly :P, drive home.

Plan B see a flock of white birds just up the road on the river forshore in the city and realise they were parrots and not seagulls, both white and multi-coloured. Grab Adpater and sneak into flock of birds.

Takumar 300mm f/4 1000sec, ISO400, resized and light USM.

Tamron 80-250mm f/3.8, 250mm, f/5.6, 1000 sec, ISO400 RAW to Jpeg conversion.

A couple of hundred of these on the grassed area eating and chewing up the lawns, very comfortable with me lying there amongst them clicking away.

Nice...very nice! How close were you able to get to the birds?

Awesome colors!!!Probably worked out better this way. You might have gotten sand in your shoes (or worse:G) & then been cussing all the way home & would have missed these birds .... yadda yadda!

It was still better than a good day at work right?

I'm jealous, I just don't get to see those kinds of birds around here unless I go to the zoo. I like #1 the best.
