I want to order a lens from Cameta because of the great prices, but this will be my first Ebay purchase! If I use the "Buy Now" feature, will the lens be shipped out at the end of the auction, or will it start processing after I order? I need to know this because I will be going to Up State NY in 6 days (and counting). Has anyone ordered from Cameta? How fast have you received your product (using the "Buy it Now").

Thank you very much!
Travis

Ordered the Tamron 28-300 lens on a Monday, received it on Wednesday. Quick service, helpful salesperson, good price. Second satisfactory purchase. Works for me.

Thanks Dr. C, that sounds good. Just curious, which shipping did you use.

Thanks for the shipping advice Roy.

Used priority (3 day) shipping. Usually use ground, which takes about a week or ten days, but this time I wanted it on hand (or camera) a little sooner.

Ebay's excellent to get good gear for little money.

You have to do quite some research, but if you look carefully, you can get quite some bargains.

I live in NJ and Cameta is in NY... I will do some more research before selecting shipping.

research!!! best advice i've heard.. be VERY sure of what you are buying. ask the seller questions if theres something you need to know about the item. no response=no sale. look at feedback.
KNOW what you are bidding on== do your researc

I bought a Sigma lens from Cameta. I live in Canada, so I got a suprise charge from Canada Post, but the folks at Cameta were great. I'd buy from them again (and likely will... they've got a 10-20mm lens that I'm jonesing over...).

Yep, and don't hesitate to ask questions on here. People like robar and monza will help you out incredibly.
I've learned more about lenses in the past few days than in an entire year!
