Roy - I think I prefer your earlier leaf (the delicate dead one) to this back-lit one. Backlit leafs are SO hard to get right, and while this one is very nice, it just seems like it isn't quite there yet - perhaps I've got unrealistic expectations. I have 2 pictures that I took with the old Sony F717 that were really excellent, and I haven't managed to take anything (either later with the Sony, with the Panny FZ30 or with this camera) that comes to matching them. Maybe I'm too hard on myself - I have a couple with the Pentax that are nice, and several taken with the Kiron that are really nice, but a bit soft. Here's one of the Pentax photos that I like - taken with the DA50-200 zoom lens.

oh my, harriet doesn't like my ''side lit'' leaves.. and i thought i was going to get some sleep this weekend.. LOL
