That fatal combination of LBA and a successful bid on e bay took it's toll as the new toy had it's first outing. DL2 with vivitar series 1 105mm macro. This lens is going to take some getting used to, but I'm looking forward to the challenge.

First shot is a bee I saw with I know not what between its legs.

Second shot is a standard hosefly (I think).

Third shot is the cat. She is actually completely blind, but gives a very good impression of being able to see.

Any all all criticisms of these welcome, and any tips Roy can throw my way, as I know you have this particular lens would be most welcome.

nice shots. i've had that lens for about 3-4 weeks now and i love it. a recent one went for $202+20 shipping=222

got mine for BIN 129+12 shipping=141.. it's the best $$ i've spent except for the DS.. if you can get a flash and use it off camera, WOW.. you can use the onboard but you'll need to drop down to at least 1:2 or add about 30mm of extension tube..

enjoy,
roy
