This is a great lens, but it could do with a more adept user. First shot is pollen from a newly opened lilly.

This next one is a cactus flower. I have no idea what the cactus is, but the flowers are tiny (about the size of my little finger nail).

the vivitar 105mm f2.5.
he has one and i have one..

dms. if you stop down the aperture you will get a lot more DOF. it's really needed when doing macros. if you set the lens to 1:2 magnification and do not pull out the lens shad you can use the onboard flash. think you will find you like it..

Really like your cactus flowers. Just my experience with the Phoenix - use as small an aperture as possible and that means using a flash. I've been using the onboard flash and f22 with my flowers and it really helps. That being said, your pollen photo is quite nice, and the tiny DOF can be quite effective sometimes.

One more of the lilly pollen only hopefully this time with a bit more DOF.

Gee
I looked at the larger version and the image almost popped out of the monitor.
Good one. Roy
