I went to Toronto local garden after work at around 8 pm. Macro shots was entirely out of question.
Only this one is ok out of say 6
http://www.pbase.com/danieltong/image/63020022
1600 iso and lens wide open at F4 300mm
Not my good day with a couple of difficult shots. How can I improve in similar circumstance?

It looks nice to me, but if you are using a f/4 lens, you will be stuck with high ISO in the same situation, with the only real solution being a faster lens such as f/2.8.

Lucky for you one of the joys of Pentax DSLR's is the nice images you get with high ISO.

Thanks Tom and MT,
In hindsight, I should have done the most fundamental - using my tripod or monopod. I was just too lazy. It was taken after a long work day and I just felt like shooting images. I was facing sunset and the subject was dim.
I should have done that 1/20s with tripod , 800iso and 5.6.

But by then she would have disappeared! Nice shot as it is under those circumstances.
