I finally gave into lens envy and ordered the Pentax 50mm-200mm lens today. All of you are to blame due to the excellent comments posted on this forum along with the fantastic pictures. Ordered it from B&H and should receive it by Monday. Can't wait!!

It's a very nice lens IMO - you'll have fun with it. I bought mine from B&H also (started to order it from buydig, but they ran out before they processed my order. They promptly canceled my order when I asked about its status and decided not to wait. I would definitely consider buying frombuydig again, even though I never actually received anything from them).

Hey, you've bought an excellent performing lens at a basement price. I still can't believe this lens is as cheap as it is. You won't be disappointed....cheers........Don.

Jay

Once you have had a play with it, post back and tell us how it feels - a couple of sample shoots would be great

Harriet,

I was planning on buying it from buydig as well, but between the time I saw it (Monday) and the time I purchased it (Wednesday), it was no longer available! In any event, I have purchased the bulk of my gear from B&H and they have served me very well! Thanks to all for the vote of confidence on the lens. I'll be sure to post some images from it.
