Just got this lens today, and I think that I am going to enjoy it.

is it the 52mm or the 58mm filter size??
i just sold a 52mm size. i just did not like it. it was ok when stopped down but was horribly soft wide open.. guess it was because it wasn't coated.

Mine is the 58mm, Roy. I'll give a try-out over the next week or so, and see what it does. The first few shots seem a little soft to me, but I am not all that steady anyway, could be blurred rather than soft. : )

Lawrence,

Nice picture...is that the family cat? We have two cats as part of the family...they make great subjects!

Wow, I did get a good deal. Mine was about 1/3 that amount (with shipping) on Ebay.

Jay, I missed seeing your question earlier. No, that is a neighbor cat. If you like cat pictures, you might want to see some more of catty friends. : )

The family cats run every time I get the camera out, so I don't have as many images of them. Great subjects, but mine are not willing models.
