I did stop along the Mississippi River on the way home for a couple of shots!!

Tom, you're PMO again.. i grew up 1 1/2 blocks from the mighty miss and i never saw anything like that.. great shot as usual.
of course we had plenty of nutria. same family as i understand it. occasionally, they had a ''fish and wildlife'' bounty on their ears and tailfor $1.25. get out the shotgun!! this sounds cruel but the population had to be limited as they had no natural enemies and it was man that imported them. they have the most remarkable orange teeth..

Roy,

I stopped on my drive back from my High School Reunion for a rest and sat down by the rivers edge looking at the Muskrats across the backwater swimming around. Next thing I knew this young one came ashore just bellow where I was sitting and started eating the Arrowhead leaves.

Just one of those times when I was glad I had the 300 handy and the light was good.

We use to trap them when I was much younger, but now I just enjoy watching and waiting for a good photograph.
